In Class: Students will continue their study of Astronomy this week. Topics include day/night due to Earth's rotation, Earth's orbit around the sun to mark a year, the moon's orbit around Earth as a month, phases of the moon, traits of the planets, and comparing comets, meteoroids, and asteroids, Students will work on planet research in the lab and will also make a booklet entitled Reason for the Seasons.
Some students have not turned in the venn diagram comparison of ocean currents and wind. This can be done on notebook paper. Students should include waht causes them.
Homework: students should take the Meteorology retest until they
are able to score 100%. To take the retest, students go to socrative.com and enter BARNESEASTCOBB.
Students who cannot access the online test should take the paper test distributed on Friday.
Students will be keeping a moon phases calendar and should record the way the moon looks each night (or at a minimum, 3 times per week).
Wednesday: Student will have a planetary comparison worksheet to complete at home and turn in on Thursday.
