Classroom Needs: Kleenex, copy paper, rulers, colored pencils
Fieldtrip permission slips and payment for our trip to Tellus Museum are due no later than Friday, November 4.
Students are required to have a Science notebook/folder that has 3 prongs (or rings) and pockets for handouts. I am doing notebook checks this week, and there will be a notebook grade that will be a part of this progress reporting period.
In Class: This week in Science, students are learning about erosion, deposition, soil and soil conservation and completing guided notes for each of these topics. You may click on the links below to review the powerpoint presentations on these topics. Students may also watch the videos again as a review. Username and password are both "ecobb". Students will receive a vocabulary list this week to help them study for the Rock Cycle and Soil unit test which students will take next week. Please review the vocabulary list nightly.
Homework: Purchase and organize a Unit 3 notebook/folder if you haven't already done so- due by Friday. Study vocabulary nightly (link is above in "In Class" section). You can set a goal of learning 5 words per night, and/or you can make flashcards to practice, or make a memory matching game with them. I suggest reveiwing powerpoints and videos as well so that you are prepared for the test next week.
