Today in Class: Students reviewed sedimentary rocks and took a quiz.
Homework: Students need to complete missing/incomplete assignments to turn in after fall break. The grading period ends on Friday, October 7, and so students need to make sure all work is completed by the Wednesday after break (October 4). Please e-mail me if you do not know which assignements your student is missing. Links to the assignments are given below. There will be a unit test on rocks on Wednesday, October 5. Students may study their guided notes, vocabulary sheets, and rock cycle diagram during fall break. I will also retest the minerals and natural resources test the week we return. Study materials for both units are listed below and in the resources section to the right. I will look forward to seeing your student on Monday, October 3! Enjoy your week.

Today in Class: Students completed Guided Notes during a Powerpoint presentation about sedimentary rocks. Students will have a quiz about sedimentary rocks tomorrow. The grading period ends the Friday after Fall Break. Please look at StudentVue/Parent/Vue to determine what aassignments are missing, and please finish these over the break. I will accept missing work until Tuesday, October 4.

Today in Class: Students continued the Igneous Rock Identification Lab today and took the Igneous Rock Quiz. Quiz grades are posted. Tomorrow for homework, students will be able to make quiz corrections for extra points.
Homework: If students have not watched the BrainPop videos posted yesterday, please do it tonight as a review of concepts.
Monday in Class: Today students started an igneous rock identification lab that we will finish up tomorrow. We had some difficulty accessing the igneous rocks quiz on the network, so we will take it tomorrow. This gave us an opportunity to have a through review of concepts!

Friday in Class: Today students learned about intrusive and extrusive igneous rocks.
Today in Class: Today students participated in review activities and and/or worked on ways to expand their understanding of new concepts related to rocks.
Wednesday in Class: Students continued to take guided notes on igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.
Monday in Class: Today students reviewed the Mineral unit and completed a NearPod activity while completing guided notes. The Minerals test was part of the NearPod Activity. Students who did not completed it need to finish it for homework.
