Monday: Students will work on Unit 7 Vocabulary and the Atmosphere. Students will also receive project directions for their Storm projects that will be due on Friday.
Tuesday-Thursday: Storm Projects in the computer lab: Students will use internet resources (listed below) to make a presentation about a type of weather storm or an event caused by a weather storm.

Students will also work on gathering data for a lab experiment this week that explores absorption and release of heat between land and water.
Friday: Quiz followed by activities that help students better understand the difference between weather and climate

1. Study at least 30 minutes each day for Friday's quiz! Items to study include Unit 7 Vocabulary, Bill Nye-Atmosphere Notes; Layers of the atmosphere flip book/notes.
2. Students who have not finished the Unit 7 Vocabulary sheet need to access the online textbook (link to the right) and complete it.
3. If you do not finish your presentation by the end of class on Thursday, then it is homework due Friday.
In Class: This week students are learning about Earth's atmosphere. There will also be an Oceanography retest on Thursday, and so we will be doing some remediation activities in preparation for the retest.

The In Class: This week, students will be finishing up the oceanography unit and will begin our study of weather. The 4 1/2 week progress reporting period ends tomorrow (Tuesday). Please check StudentVue/ParentVue to make sure you/your student is caught up. The unit test is postponed until Wednesday. Students began work on a study guide for the unit which needs to be completed for homework.
