Monday in Class: Students colored and created a map key to show where various languages in Europe are spoken.
Tuesday in Class: Students learn about 5 factors that impact climate in our world.
Wednesday in Class: Students participate in a comparative study of the United Kingdom and Russia.
Homework: Students finish classwork.
Thursday in Class: Students participate in a comparative study of Italy and Germany.
Homework: Students finish classwork.
Friday in Class: Students complete the Unit 1 Study Guide in preparation for Tuesday Unit 1 test. There will also be a notebook check and a review of grades.
Homework: Make-up work due Tuesday. Study for Unit 1 test to be given next Tuesday (no school on Monday).

Thursday in Class: Students learn some basic similarities and differences among the three Abrahamic religions of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.
There will be a notebook check tomorrow. Students will earn a grade for bringing their notebook labelled with student name and subject, with the syllabus in front and additional notes and assignments behind it. Choice projects are due Monday. Directions are in the sidebar under European_ environmnetal_ issues_assignment.
Wednesday in Class:
Students took the SLO Social Studies pretest. They also read "Resources in Europe" and answered questions related to the passage. Students should finish this for homework.

Tuesday in Class:
Students took a quiz on environmental issues in Europe and received project directions for the environmental issues project that is due on Monday. Students also read and answered questions about languages in Europe. Tomorrow (Wednesday) students will be taking a pretest on 6th grade Social Studies content and will need to bring either materials for working on their project or a book to read once they have finished their testing.
Monday in Class: Today students used ipads to do small group research identifying the capital city, government type, and physical features of a European country. Then students either retested the European Geography quiz or studied for the Environmental Issues quiz that will be given tomorrow.

Students took the Europe Geography quiz today. Students should continue to review geography throughout our study of Europe as it will be tested again on the unit test.
Finish European Vacation project reflection: Students reflect on what they learned while completing the European Vacation project. Reflections should include how the physical features of Europe influence their choices of transportation, and how physical features here in the U.S. influence how people get around at home.
